The Brief

The Copper Masons, formerly ADS Plumbing approached Batur with the ambition to reposition their business to target the high-end and luxury residential market. They recognised that the existing brand and lack of a digital presence were hindering their growth and holding them back from winning new customers.

They approached us with the goal of establishing a completely new brand, including a new business name and identity that accurately represented their services and target audience. With this foundation in place, they engaged Batur to design and develop a new website, helping them stand out from their competitors.

Branding and Positioning

During our initial brand discovery sessions, we identified specific target regions, competitors, and industry challenges. We realised an opportunity in the market created by competitors focusing on service deliverables—such as plumbing, gas, or heating—rather than the service experience, which our target audience prioritises.

With this insight, we redefined our proposition by moving away from the traditional naming convention of using an acronym followed by “Plumbing and Heating.” Instead, we adopted the name “Copper Mason,” inspired by stone masons or masonry, to emphasize craftsmanship and quality, differentiating ourselves in a saturated market. By including “Copper” in the brand name, we immediately communicated the industry to our audience.

After establishing the messaging proposition, we guided our client through a brand immersion process, collaboratively forming a brief. We chose a modern and clean style with sophisticated yet minimalist iconography. The name “Copper Masons” naturally led to our choice of a copper bronze base for the color palette, complemented by gradients of royal blue tones to establish a high-end aesthetic.

Web Design and Development

The refined visual identity from the branding phase is seamlessly integrated into the web design. We carefully incorporated the updated colour palette, typography, and logo design to ensure a cohesive and recognisable brand presence across every page and interaction, allowing us to move into the build phase.

After considering website performance and requirements we opted for a technology stack that included Wordpress and Elementor. This selection ensured a robust foundation for the website’s functionality and allowed for ease of use for the customer, as well as scalability and potential future growth.

To enhance functionality and user engagement, we integrated third-party services such as Hubspot CRM and Google Analytics. This allows us to track the success of the website, follow up on customer leads, and make informed decisions in the future when moving into the ongoing maintenance and marketing of the site.

Ongoing SEO Optimisation

With the website live, our focus shifts towards continuous SEO optimisation, emphasizing content-driven strategies. We produce case studies, blog articles, and other relevant content to boost search engine rankings. This approach ensures the new site reaches a broader audience and generates more inquiries for The Copper Masons.
